The Defiance Forums have now been transferred over. You may notice that the DKP Forum system is called "Thread Tags", and it's designed to be different. It's designed to eliminate clicks, and to reduce the number of "Forum Hops" necessary to view all the new posts. It's designed to be flexible.

Admittedly, it takes a bit of getting used to. Reading through this document should help to show you how our forum system works.

Once you've gotten the hang of them, and you go to an "older styled" forum, you'll wonder why forums weren't designed like this in the first place.

USING THE NEW WEBSITE & FORUMS

Login with the same Username & Password
All users who had signed up to use the http://defianceguild.ajbtech.net/forums/ should be able to log in on the new site. The login box is on the top left side of the homepage - just use the same log in details.

Create WoW Character Profiles
Once you sign in, in that same area of the homepage you can create pages for all your WoW Characters. Click [Create a Character] and fill in the details. The advantages for doing this are:
- Define your Main and Alts
- Each profile is posted/visible on the site for others
- Create a Wanted Gear list
- Add in your Raid Availabilty
- Post a screenie for each character

Threaded Forums - existing threads copied across
All existing Defiance forums have been imported into the new forums into similar categories. Please note
- They will appear to you as a long list of Unread (highlighted blue) threads. To mark everything as read use the "Enable Multi-thread Actions" link (top left above first forum row) to Mark All As Read
- Posts made on different "boards" will be tagged a different category/colour than posts made in other "boards" (say the Class Discussion board).
- Please note that old post links and photos do not display well or may be broken. You can go back and edit your own posts if you wish to relink stuff.
- You can also post images saved on your computer (by uploading to the Gallery see below) then pasting the link into your forum post.

Create a Forum Signature & Avatar
You can create a forum signature and avatar which will appear whenever you post on the forums (it's username specific, not wow character specific btw!). When you log in, click on the [Edit Account] link that appears right near the [Create Character] link in the top left corner. In the [Edit Account] area you can also modify your Username if you'd like to without losing your characters, forum posts etc.

Gallery to share your WoW Screen captures and RL photos
You can post a screenie, photo or image to the site by clicking on the Gallery link on the main menu, choosing an appropriate sub-gallery and [Upload pictures to this gallery]. Once the image is uploaded the site will give you multiple URL links to the image in case you wish to post a smaller version that fits in your forum post. The "Medium: Clicable BBCode" is ideal for a forum post.
